You’ll be guided to notice its subtle textures: the cool air at the nose, the quiet lift of the chest, the soft expansion of the belly, drawing you into deeper awareness with each cycle.
This practice gently opens a meditative state of relaxation and calm clarity. Guided by Chris, whose calming British accent enhances the soothing flow, this breath meditation offers a sanctuary of stillness and mindfulness. Allow yourself to gently rest with the breath in this present moment.

Welcome to British Bliss. I’m Chris, and in today’s Mindful Moments we’ll explore the simple yet profound practice of resting with the breath. As you listen, notice the gentle rhythm of air moving in and out, like a quiet tide flowing through you. This practice is here to guide you into relaxation and calm clarity.
Before we begin, take a moment to settle in.
Find a comfortable position, seated or lying down, and let your hands rest naturally. Feel the support beneath you, holding you just as you are.
Close your eyes or lower your gaze. Take a slow, deep breathe in, letting calm fill your chest. As you exhale, release any tension, allowing your body to soften.
When you’re ready, we’ll begin.
Bring your attention to the breath, just as it is. There is no need to change or control anything. Simply notice the natural rhythm, the gentle rise and fall, the flow in and out.
Notice the breath as it moves through you. You might sense it at the tip of the nose, cool as it enters and warmer as it leaves. Perhaps you observe it in the chest, lifting and settling with ease. Or you may feel it in the belly, expanding and releasing. Rest with whichever sensation feels most vivid and comfortable to you.
Now begin to count the breath, softly in your mind. Breathing in, count one. Breathing out, count two. Inhale, three. Exhale, four. Continue until you reach ten, and when you arrive, simply return to one with the next breath.
If at any moment your mind wanders, gently notice where it has gone. Each time you become aware, simply come back to the breath and begin again at one, with the next inhalation.
As you continue, let the counting become like a quiet rhythm in the background. Allow the breath to guide you, steady and smooth. The count is simply a gentle aid, helping you remain with the breath.
When it feels natural, let the counting go and stay with the breath as it is. Feel the air at the nostrils. Observe the chest rising and releasing. Notice the belly expanding and softening. Allow yourself to rest in pure sensation.
When thoughts come, notice them, and let them move on in their own time. The breath is always here to return to.
Sense the ease that comes with being close to the breath. Nothing to push, nothing to accomplish, just the gentle rhythm, carrying you from moment to moment.
Breathing here, you are present. Breathing here, you are steady. Breathing here, you are at ease.
And for these last moments, allow yourself to remain here, resting with your breath, resting in this calm and spacious presence.
And now, when you’re ready, begin to return.
Notice the support beneath you, and gently sense the room again, the air, the sounds, the comfort of where you are.
Move your fingers and toes, and when it feels right, open your eyes or lift your gaze.
As you return, ask yourself: how might you bring this sense of steady focus into the next conversation, task, or step you take?
Trust the gentle rhythm within you, a quiet guide through the day.
Thank you for sharing this time with me. Until next time, be kind to yourself, breathe deeply, and embrace every mindful moment.
